Positive affirmations are important. Here’s why:
Your self talk determines your future. To quote Henry Ford, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t you’re right.” When you constantly talk yourself in negative way then you will get negative results.
As you go after your goals be sure to keep your self talk positive. Encourage yourself. When you make a mistake say that’s not like me. I’ll do better next time. Do not run yourself down when you misstep.
When faced with a challenging goal approach it with a confident mindset. You will receive a your greater share of opportunities to the degree that you are willing to go through uncomfortable hurdles. And so often the difference between success and failure lies in the thoughts that you dwell on.
These thoughts are a direct result of the words that you are saying to yourself, whether it be verbally or mentally.
Train yourself to keep your thoughts on what you want to happen and off of what you don’t want to happen. The best way to do that is to get in the habit of using positive self talk. Start your day with positive affirmations. And likewise end your evenings with affirmations.
Take the time to write positive affirmations for each of the areas of your life that you want to change. See your life the way you want it to be and write a statement out which describes that ideal picture of success. Brainstorm a good set of affirmations that excite you. Then write down your favorite ones.
Memorize them and repeat them throughout the day for added enthusiasm for achieving your goals. You will find that with practice your positive affirmations will influence your actions, attitude and endurance.
You will push the negativity out of your mind. You will begin to dwell on what you can do and instead of what past programming has been telling you that you can’t do.
Here are some good affirmations that you can begin using today.
- “I take consistent small steps which result in big changes for me.”
